A significant 76 per cent of employers report challenges in filling jobs due to a lack of skilled talent, indicating that most organisations are facing noticeable staffing challenges.

IT and data skills are a top priority for recruitment and retention, yet 23 per cent of businesses struggle to source talent in these areas.

Many organisations are proactively addressing skills shortages by investing in upskilling and reskilling existing employees. Offering more flexibility, increasing wages, and targeting new talent pools remain priorities, even as organisations focus on bridging skills gaps internally rather than relying solely on external hiring.

Companies are using diversified talent strategies 
or taking no action at all
 
Many companies are actively adjusting their hiring strategies by increasing wages (23 per cent), targeting new talent pools (23 per cent), and outsourcing functions (14 per cent). 
However, a notable 12 per cent are taking no action to address talent shortages.
